Great guide made a fantastic trip.
By Daniel.
Wow... what a trip! Bangladesh was amazing, and this book was genuinely invaluable - I would not have enjoyed Bangladesh without it. We found most of the recommendations to be spot on - really fun restaurants, loads of great options for hotels, easy to use maps and loads of really interesting background reading on the country - but the best thing about the book was the information on public transport - so detailed, so helpful, and really makes the difference if you're trying to see a lot of the country and fit as much as you can into your trip. You do have the option of renting a car and a driver in Bangladesh, but if you want to save some money, and to see the country on your own, then I definitely recommend getting this guide. Thank you Lonely Planet.

Not worth the money
By Rune
This book was not good, and didn't help me much when traveling in Bangladesh for 4 weeks. Some of the information was wrong, and a lot of the information that should have been there is not there. It does not look like the author really have travelled much in Bangladesh. If you want one book, go for the Bradt guide. This is very disappointing publishing from Lonely Planet.

Kindle version maps-awful in LP books!!!
By Zilzal
As many already know, maps on most Kindle titles are impossible to read or enlarge. To add insult to injury, the entire Bengali language chapter -the one that would have been most useful in my day to day interactions in country- were also miniaturized! Amazon please get your act together and fix this problem!!!
